"My vehicle was declared a total loss by the State Farm Claims Department on December 30, 2025. At the time of the loss, my policy was fully paid, active, and in good standing with no lapse in coverage. The policy included bodily injury limits of 100/300, $5,000 in medical payments coverage, $50 per day rental coverage, a $100 deductible, and uninsured motorist coverage. Lienholder coverage was properly listed and acknowledged in the policy file. Despite these undisputed facts, it is now mid-January and State Farm has failed to issue any payment whatsoever related to this claim. I remain without a vehicle. State Farm refused to release the vehicle back to me when I attempted to retrieve it. The lienholder has not been paid, and I have not received a single dollar—despite the claim being declared a total loss weeks ago. This delay is unreasonable, unjustified, and unacceptable. There is no lawful or contractual basis for withholding payment after a total loss determination, particularly when coverage is confirmed and premiums were fully paid. State Farm’s actions have caused ongoing financial hardship and deprivation of transportation, while the company continues to hold both the vehicle and the settlement funds. As a result of this conduct, I canceled my policy after the vehicle was totaled, as it is unreasonable to continue paying insurance premiums for a vehicle that State Farm has declared a total loss and refused to return. Any post-loss policy changes do not affect coverage in force at the time of the accident. Despite this, State Farm has also failed to promptly process and issue my premium refund. These facts raise serious concerns regarding claims-handling practices, bad faith delay, and consumer harm. Immediate resolution is required."

"My agent, Sidra is very good, helpful, kind, and sweet, however, there are just times when a client needs the big boss, Ms. Blackwell, who was on 2 occasions scheduled to call me, which she never did. Sidra always went the extra mile, however, as I said, there are times when the boss needs to step in and help the client. I had issues with the claims department and yet, Ms. Blackwell never ever spoke to me or stepped in to help.. During all the time I was with her, I only met her and saw her once, but never ever again. I have nothing personal against Ms. Blackwell except to say that she should get more involved with her clients. As to Sidra, she always tried to call Claims Dept. and also called a repair shop on my behalf. I only have positive things to say about her and will truthfully miss her. There is nothing personal that I have against anyone at Ms. Blackwell's agency. Since I am reviewing Sidra, I will give her an outstanding review, but do expect the top boss to get involved when needed. Ms. Blackwell, seemed to be quite polite and nice when I met her that one and only time, so again nothing personal, however, as to Sidra, she does go the extra mile, but there are just certain things an agent can't do without help from the top person at the agency. Therefore, as to Sidra, you get 5 stars. I'm sorry it had to end this way, but I am changing offices for the reasons listed above."
